President’s Message

To my dear Sisters in Christ,

I am very excited about being your President for the next two years.  I am happy to report that we have 8 new members this year.  This year, I would like us to focus on the three pillars of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada:  Faith, Service and Social Justice.  I strongly encourage all members to actively participate in each of these pillars.  I understand that we are all busy and we each have our own challenges.  However, I believe that even the smallest acts of self sacrifice will benefit our sister members, our parish community, our local community and for the whole of Canada.  Please look at the sections under Faith, Service and Social Justice to see some suggestions as to how you can be an active member of the CWL.  I welcome your suggestions, knowledge and experience as well.

This website provides an opportunity for current communication with all members.  You will find links to Agendas, Minutes of meetings, President reports, sign up forms and other CWL websites.  There are also links where you can ask questions or provide information that we can put on our website.

Lastly, Congratulations to Alma Labossierre and Patricia Stogrin who were nominated by Mary Laliberte for the Leona Levigne Award.  Leona Levigne was a CWL member for 60 years and after her passing the family gave the CWL some money and we created the Leona Levigne Award.  This award is for those members who have worked above and beyond for the CWL.  Paricia and Alma have been preparing food for our funeral lunches and our Christmas Dinner for many years and they have worked tirelessly at this.  Thank you ladies!

Let us all have a blessed 2020!

For God and Canada
