Youth and Family Ministry

Youth Group

Express, Inspire, and Connect

Join us every Thursday from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM in the Parish Hall!

Youth and High school teens are invited to participate in Youth Group. Our program is a Bible and Eucharist centered Catholic programs. By sharing the teachings of our Church and facilitating powerful encounters with Christ, we help youth to grow in knowledge of our faith while transforming their hearts to help them passionately live out the Gospel by serving and loving one another. Through fellowship and open and honest discussion, we grow closer to one another and Christ knowing that we walk this journey together.

Guiding the next generation has always been at the heart of our parish youth ministry. The ability to speak to young people in a way that provides clarity and focus on their purpose in life is a priority for us. Having Michael as full-time Youth and Family Coordinator has created more opportunity for us to support and encourage young people in our parish to step up for action. His passion for working to help guide youth towards an authentic relationship with God is a beautiful testimony to the type of Youth ministry we deserve in a Salesian Parish.

The Youth Group is just for you! It is a place for you to come together in a loving and caring atmosphere and share your life experiences and faith with your peers. All youth are invited to participate in all events, such as retreats, missions and other activities. Click Here to Sign Up for Youth Group.

See You @ Mass!!

St. Dominic Savio Catholic Youth and Family Ministry aims to foster encounters with Christ and equip everyone to be sent out as His disciples. During the year, we offer regular events and meetings for young people and families in our parish, schools, and community.

Throughout the year, including the summer, we hold activities such as summer camps, youth groups, young adults, family events, social nights, and retreats for everyone. The youth programs are designed to motivate youth to live virtue and love through their Catholic faith. Each group meet once a week to discuss and learn about our Catholic faith through games, skits, crafts, songs, and snacks.

Eleven Signs Your Youth Group Is Damaging Your Children

We value the relationship we have with parents, the primary influence in a child’s life. It is our joy that you will help us to strengthen and build a future for our youth that has Jesus Christ at the center. Youth are one small piece of a much bigger puzzle. The next generation is full of purpose, direction, hope, and identity in Jesus.

The Senior Group

The Senior Group is a group for those who are 55 years of age and up, and who are young at heart. This group meets in the Parish Hall every month for various activities.

They enjoy socializing, playing games, planning outings & parties; and just getting together to spend some time with fellow parishioners & friends.

If you are interested in joining this group, please check the bulletin for the next meeting and simply attend, or for further information, please call the parish office.

Youth Ministry Adult Volunteers

Are you interested in accompanying the youth of our parish and sharing your faith with them? Youth Ministry is always in need of reliable group of adults for extra support, whether that means being present for an event, bouncing off ideas, or assisting in coordinating and communicating.

All adults who volunteer with youth are required to complete a background check and attend a “Called to Protect” session in compliance with policies set forth by the Archdiocese of Edmonton.

For more information or to volunteer, please contact Michael on Phone 780-473-4259 ext “5” or Email him at
